The school asked us to manufacture and install one canopy so that an outdoor learning and play area could be created. Furthermore, they wanted us to design, manufacture, and install a walkway to keep the children protected from the elements when moving classes between the different buildings of the school.
We designed, made and installed a 9.5m in length x 5m in width canopy located next to one of St Anthony's School's buildings. The canopy was made of strong 70mm box tubing steel and weather and damage-resistant 5mm clear polycarbonate roof panels. The school wanted the look of the canopy to match their environment, so they chose to have the steel powder coated in RAL colour 7015.
We manufactured a custom-made walkway, measured and designed to fit their exact requirements and space. The walkway was 17 meters long and made from hard-wearing 50mm box tubing steel. It was covered with thick 10mm twin-wall polycarbonate roof panels. To match the surrounding buildings and the newly installed canopy, we ensured the walkway was powder-coated in the same RAL colour 7015 as the canopy. To complete the look and functionality of the walkway, we installed black guttering and drain pipes.
"We were very happy with our installation from start to finish. The team were professional and competent throughout and the finished product is exactly what we had discussed." - Mr Price - Headteacher, St. Anthony's School
As Barnwell School was undergoing a complete revamp, we were approached to provide a walkway connecting one classroom block to another. A large walkway was required to ensure the area was completely sheltered and students could walk comfortably between buildings, whatever the weather.
We manufactured a custom-made walkway, measured and designed to fit their exact requirements and space. The walkway was 123m long, 2100mm wide, and 2200mm high. Out of the 123m, the walkway was designed to be open on one side and enclosed on the other for 75m. The other 48m were open on both sides and designed with a 50mm high support beam all along the 48m enclosed side. The walkway frame was made of a 50mm x 50mm strong steel frame, and the glazing was made of 40mm multiwall clear polycarbonate as per the specification sheet. The roof was manufactured from thick and sturdy 16mm multiwall plastic, and vertical support posts were installed every 3 meters. To match the school's environment and colours, the steel used in the walkway's construction was galvanised and powder-coated in RAL colour 7015, as our client had specified.
"The walkway has been a God send in poor weather and is of very high quality." - Headteacher
he client contacted us with an idea to build a covered walkway extending outwards from the entrance of one of their wash station buildings. We were asked to manufacture and install the walkway, which was designed to keep workers protected when coming in and out of the building.
We designed, manufactured and installed a walkway extending from the entrance and over the concrete path. The walkway was made of strong 70mm box tubing steel and weather and damage-resistant 10mm clear polycarbonate roof panels.
Additionally, we installed side panels on one side to protect workers from any splatter that may be coming from the train tracks side when trains are cleaned.
The client wanted the canopy's look to match the location, so they chose to have the steel galvanised and left with the distinct metallic look without an additional powder-coat of colour.
